Mountainscape Gardens is a small local company striving to provide quality gardens to the roaring fork community. Projects range from perennial gardens focused on Colorado Native plants to vegetable gardens for fresh produce to be enjoyed. We provide consultation, installation and maintenance for all your garden needs.
Owner/Gardener: Christine Widell
Christine found her love of plants battling the trials of high altitude farming outside of Telluride, Colorado. From there she has found herself working on Orchards in Montana to learning from locals in Costa Rica about tropical flowers and vegetables. Christine first arrived in the Roaring Fork Valley after taking a job as the Garden Assistant at Colorado Rocky Mountain School, growing food for the students and faculty. She then chose to continue her education after being accepted to a program at UCSC with the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems in Santa Cruz, California. Her love of plants was only rivaled by her love of the Roaring Fork Valley and returned to continue her journey in Colorado. Since then she has been working on perennial garden maintenance and installation throughout the valley.
